Local SEO for a London coworking business

How improvements to a London coworking business’s Google Business Profile, website and local listings supported its recovery after the pandemic.

The challenge

The business had been providing office and coworking space for more than ten years. After the pandemic, more of its customers were working from home instead of commuting to an office.

It needed to reach people looking for workspace in its part of London and turn that interest into bookings, office enquiries and viewings.

My role

I worked on the business's Google Business Profile, website and local listings. The aim was to make it easier for nearby customers to find the business and understand what it offered.

What I worked on

Google Business Profile and reviews

I completed the profile with accurate business information and images. I also helped the business ask existing customers for reviews by sharing its Google review link in a newsletter.

Website content for local searches

I researched how people searched for office space in the area and used relevant terms in the website copy and page metadata. This gave the pages a clearer local focus.

A more usable mobile website

I improved the site's mobile speed score, made the text easier to read and optimised the images. I also used a more suitable website template to improve the mobile layout.

Local listings and business details

I added listings and links from local directories, businesses and community websites. On the website, I made sure the business name, address and phone number appeared consistently as readable text.

What changed

The published results reported:

  • 100% growth in sessions year on year, across organic search and direct traffic.

  • More than 130% growth in total revenue year on year.

Online coworking bookings increased, alongside office enquiries and viewings. These figures describe the business's wider performance during its recovery; they do not isolate the contribution of each SEO change.
