Local SEO & Google Business Profile management
Local SEO and Google Business Profile support
Help nearby customers find and choose your business. I'll combine Google Business Profile optimisation with local SEO to help turn local searches into enquiries, bookings and visits.

Local SEO services for small businesses
When someone searches for a business nearby, they need to know whether you offer what they need, where you operate and how to contact you. Incomplete information, outdated opening hours or unclear service descriptions can make that decision harder.
Local SEO connects your Google Business Profile with the information on your website and relevant business directories. The aim is to make your business easier to find and give potential customers a clearer path to an enquiry, booking or visit.
Who this is for
This support is most useful for businesses customers visit, such as a shop or salon, and businesses that travel to their customers, such as a plumber or cleaner. If your business operates entirely online, we can discuss website SEO and content support instead.
What does Google Business Profile optimisation include?
The work starts with your current profile, website and the searches relevant to your services. Where research is included, I also review nearby competitors to identify useful gaps. We agree the priorities and scope before work begins.
A clearer, more complete profile
Check your business name, address or service area, phone number, categories and opening hours. Improve service descriptions, relevant attributes, photos and website links so customers can see what you offer and how to reach you.
Ongoing profile care
Keep agreed business information current and plan relevant profile updates around your services, news and offers. We’ll agree the frequency and who supplies and approves the content.
Reviews and customer confidence
Make it easier to ask customers for honest reviews and respond to their feedback. Use neutral requests, without incentives or filtering out unhappy customers, and replies that address the experience they describe.
Your website and local listings
Check that your contact details match across your website and relevant directories. Where agreed, improve service-page copy, titles, internal links and mobile usability around the searches that matter to your customers.

How we’ll work together
1. Understand your starting point
Start with your goals, service locations and current enquiries. I’ll check profile eligibility, ownership and verification, then review your profile and website against what customers need to find.
2. Agree the priorities and scope
You’ll receive a tailored proposal setting out the recommended work, responsibilities and reporting. We’ll confirm the scope, timing and fee before starting.
3. Make improvements and review progress
Once the work is agreed, I’ll carry out the planned updates and review the available evidence. You’ll know what has been done, what needs your input and what the next priorities are.

Questions about local SEO support
Is Google Business Profile management the same as local SEO?
Profile management focuses on the information and activity on your Google Business Profile. Local SEO also considers your website and other relevant online information. Your proposal will make clear which areas the work covers.
Why does my Google Business Profile need to be kept up to date?
Your profile is often the first thing people see when they search for a business like yours nearby. Google uses your profile to decide which searches to show you in. An up-to-date profile doesn’t guarantee a top position, but an outdated one makes it harder to be shown by the algorithm and chosen by potential clients.
Can you help if I already have a profile?
Yes. An existing profile is a useful starting point. I’ll review its current information and available data, then recommend what to improve. You retain ownership of your profile and provide the appropriate management access.
How much does the service cost?
A one-off profile fix costs £300. Profile management costs £300 a month and Local SEO starts from £750 a month, both with a three-month minimum, then 30 days’ notice. For more than one location, the package Local SEO Complete starts from £1,200 a month. Prices are final, with no VAT to add.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Plan to assess progress over three to six months, with checks along the way. Profile visibility may improve before website rankings or enquiries. Your starting point, local competition and website condition affect the pace. We’ll track what changes from the start; the review window is not a guaranteed results deadline.
Do I need a Google Business Profile?
It depends on how your business operates. Profiles are generally intended for businesses that meet customers in person, with specific eligibility rules. We’ll check whether a profile is appropriate before recommending this work.
Are website changes included?
Profile management doesn’t include website work. Local SEO does. In month one, I review up to five key pages, check your local keywords and competitors, and agree a 90-day plan. From month two, I optimise two existing pages each month. New pages, redesigns and larger technical changes are quoted separately.
Can you help with more than one location?
Yes. Each extra location costs £300 a month on top of your package. For several locations, Local SEO Complete starts from £1,200 a month and includes more pages, new service pages, changes made for you and analytics setup.
Can I manage my profile myself?
Yes. You can update business details, add photos and reply to reviews yourself. Support is useful when you need a structured review, help deciding what to prioritise or someone to carry out the agreed work consistently. You keep ownership of the profile.
Is there a minimum contract?
Monthly packages have a three-month minimum, then continue monthly with 30 days’ notice. This is because consistent, ongoing management of the profile signals to the algorithm that the content is fresh—a key factor for local ranking.
Let’s make your local presence work harder
Tell me about your business, share your website and Google Business Profile if you have one, and explain what you want to improve. I’ll help you identify the next steps and put together a proposal around your requirements.
